It can also intercept media streams from video sites, like YouTube or Vimeo, and can automatically save the videos in their original format. The options section of Download Accelerator Manager includes various options for configuring the program's functionality and also the look and feel. Download Accelerator Manager can use an installed antivirus software to automatically check downloaded files for viruses when the download process is complete.

It allows downloading any type of file at a greater speed than using a regular download manager. Besides that, it can intercept download links from most web browsers. Furthermore, downloads can be scheduled to start at a certain time. Last but not least, files can be automatically checked for viruses after they are downloaded.

The multitude of options may confuse a beginner who has never used a download manager before.
